There is no shortage of people wanting to represent residents of the 25th Illinois State Senate District. Two Democrats – Steven Hunter and Corinne Pierog – and three Republicans – Jim Oberweis, David Richmond and Richard Slocum – will be on the ballot for the March 20 primary elections.

The three Republican candidates — Richmond, a Batavia resident and Blackberry Township supervisor; Rick Slocum, Sugar Grove resident and former West Aurora School Board member; and Jim Oberweis, Sugar Grove business owner — met Thursday to debate for the Kendall County Young Republicans at the Oswego Taphouse.
